How does Korin identify upcoming commitments?
Korin looks for recurring payments and patterns in your transaction history.
Last updated 2026-08-02
Korin looks for payment patterns that may indicate an upcoming bill or commitment.
It may consider:
• Previous payment dates • How regularly the payment occurs • Typical payment amounts • Merchant and transaction descriptions • Changes in the timing or value of the payment • Whether the payment is likely to occur before your next expected income
Examples may include rent, utilities, insurance, subscriptions, loan payments and other recurring expenses.
Not every repeated transaction is a guaranteed future commitment. Korin may also miss a commitment when:
• It has not occurred often enough • The merchant description changes • The amount or date varies substantially • The transaction is paid from an unconnected account • The commitment is new • The bank data is delayed
When Korin uses upcoming commitments in an answer, it should list them individually rather than showing only a combined total.
