Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026 — Beta version

1. What Korin is

Korin is a read-only AI-powered financial assistant that connects to your bank data via Akahu to help you understand your spending, balances, and goals. Korin is currently in early beta. Features may change, and the product may have limitations or bugs.

2. Read-only access

Korin is strictly read-only. We can view your account balances and transaction history. We cannot make payments, transfers, or any changes to your bank accounts — ever. We will never request write access to your accounts.

3. Beta software

This product is provided as beta software. It is not intended as a substitute for professional financial advice. Insights and summaries are generated by AI and may occasionally be inaccurate. Do not make financial decisions based solely on information provided by Korin.

4. Your responsibility

By using Korin you agree to use it responsibly and lawfully. You must be 18 or older and a resident of New Zealand. You are responsible for keeping your WhatsApp number secure, as it is used to authenticate your account.

5. Limitation of liability

Korin is provided “as is” during beta. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from your use of the product. This includes errors in AI-generated insights or delays in data syncing.

6. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves out of beta. Significant changes will be communicated via WhatsApp. Continued use of the product after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
