Korin is a read-only, AI-powered financial assistant that connects to your bank data via Akahu. It helps you understand your spending, balances, and financial patterns.
2. Read-only access
Korin has read-only access to your financial data. We can view balances and transaction history but cannot make payments, transfers, or any changes to your bank accounts.
We do not store your banking credentials.
3. Third-party services
Korin relies on third-party providers to deliver its services, including:
- Akahu (bank data connectivity)
- AI providers (for generating insights)
- Messaging providers such as WhatsApp (Meta) or Twilio
By using Korin, you acknowledge and consent to your data being processed by these providers as necessary to deliver the service.
4. AI-generated insights
Korin uses artificial intelligence to generate insights, summaries, and responses.
These outputs:
- may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate
- are provided for informational purposes only
- do not constitute financial, legal, or investment advice
You should independently verify any information before making financial decisions.
5. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- use Korin only for lawful purposes
- be at least 18 years old and a resident of New Zealand
- keep your account and phone number secure
You are responsible for all activity associated with your account.
6. Alerts and notifications
Korin may provide alerts or notifications based on your financial data.
These alerts are provided on a best-effort basis and are not guaranteed to be timely, accurate, or complete.
7. Availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Korin may experience downtime, delays, or interruptions.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Korin and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from:
- use of the service
- reliance on insights or alerts
- delays, inaccuracies, or missing data
- service interruptions or outages
9. No warranties
Korin is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to Korin at any time, including for misuse, security concerns, or legal or regulatory requirements.
You may stop using the service at any time.
11. Fees and billing
Korin may offer paid features or subscriptions. If applicable, pricing, billing terms, and renewal details will be clearly disclosed before you are charged.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the product or messaging channels.
Continued use of Korin after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
