Safe to Spend
How is Safe to Spend calculated?
Safe to Spend estimates what may remain after known upcoming commitments.
Last updated 2026-08-02
Safe to Spend is Korin’s estimate of how much money may be available after accounting for known upcoming commitments.
The estimate generally considers:
• The current balance available in the included everyday accounts • Expected bills and recurring payments • Upcoming commitments detected from your transaction history • The timing of your next expected income or payday • Relevant account and cash-flow information available to Korin
When Korin shows a Safe to Spend result, it should also show the upcoming commitments included in the calculation so you can understand what was deducted.
Safe to Spend is an estimate, not a bank guarantee. It may not include:
• A new bill Korin has never seen • A payment made outside a connected account • A transaction the bank has not yet reported • A recurring payment whose date or amount has changed unexpectedly • Cash spending • A transfer or payment scheduled directly inside your bank • A financial commitment that cannot be identified from the available data
Review the listed commitments before relying on the result. Tell Korin when a commitment appears incorrect or is missing.
