How does Korin protect my information?

Korin uses approved connections to analyse financial information without payment authority.

Korin connects to supported financial institutions through Akahu.

Korin’s access is intended to be read-only. Korin does not have permission to:

• Transfer money • Make payments • Change your bank details • Move funds between accounts • Trade investments

Korin should only request and retain information needed to provide the service, operate the account, investigate problems and meet applicable obligations.

Never send Korin:

• Your online-banking password • A one-time bank security code • Your full debit or credit-card number • Your card PIN • Your Akahu credentials • A secret recovery code

If you believe someone accessed your Korin account without permission:

  1. Secure your email account.
  2. Change relevant passwords.
  3. Contact your financial institution if bank access may be affected.
  4. Disconnect Korin’s bank access where possible.
  5. Report the issue to Korin as a security concern.
